Key Stage 3 - Yrs 7 - 9

 In KS3 students will learn how to

  • Keep themselves safe online
  • Develop programming skills using Scratch software to create computer games
  • Use DTP and the World Wide Web to Market a product
  • Design and create Web pages
  • Develop mobile phone apps for android
  • Edit sound and video
  • Animate using Flash

Key Stage 4 - GCSE

In KS4 students currently study the OCR nationals and cover the following areas of study

  • Design and create business documents
  • Design, create and test Multimedia products
  • Video Editing
  • Creating computer animations
  • Sound Editing
  • Design and create graphics for the WWW

From September 2013 students will study the new Cambridge national’s qualification in KS4.

Key Stage 5 - 'A' Level

In KS5 students study OCR applied A level

 (Including IT user and computing as additional modules)

  • Create and edit video, Audio and music files
  • Spreadsheets – including IF statements, lookup tables & other advanced functions
  • Database – Manipulating data
  • Use of layers in Desktop publishing
  • Graphic design
  • Advanced searches using IF operators and search strings
  • Webpage design
  • Interactive Multimedia products
