The level to which a topic is studied depends on the ability of the pupil. Targets are set individually using KS2 Primary School data and Teacher assessment. These will be sent to parents in the Autumn Term. If you have any concerns or question please do not hesitate to use the contact form on the web site or telephone the school.

Equipment needed
We use a variety of resources, including ‘Mathswatch’, Mymaths website , revision books and a core text book from Longman – this is available on moodle.
Pupils will need a scientific calculator of their own for use with classwork, homework and in the exam. We usually have some reasonably priced calculators at school.
Mock exams will take place this year for Year 11 in November 2017 and Year 10 in March 2018.
New GCSE specification
From summer 2017 pupils will sit the New GCSE and gain grades from 9 to 1. The new exam will consist of 3 papers each of 1hour 30 mins and will be one non calculator and 2 calculator papers. and as a rough guide grade 5 is equivalent to the old C/B. and the top 20% of the old A* grades will be grade 9.
