Pie and Peas Down Memory Lane at Appleby Grammar School - Take 2!
On Friday 09 October, we would like to invite any past or present student, or member of the community to come along for a bite to eat and a wander around the school. This follows our successful event in November last year.
The reason for this event remains the same, but our timescales are shortening! Over the last year the school has undergone major rebuild and refurbishment works and this will result in the demolition of what are currently (and have been since the mid-60's) the main teaching areas. It is anticipated that we will move into the new teaching block in September 2026.
We thought that there would be many of you who would like the opportunity to have a look at where you used to be taught.
We are not embarrassed to say that this is also a fundraising event. Our new buildings are paid for by the DfE, but this covers the cost of the buildings - not the internal 'loose' items. We want to be able to open the building so that it is shiny and new both the inside and out!

We do need to know number for the event, so that we can plan appropriately.

HELP REQUIRED! We would like to use the school hall to show off any old photos etc of times gone by. If you have any photo's, or any other memorabilia that we could display on the evening, we would love to borrow it from you for the evening. Please drop off at the school reception, making sure everything is clearly names with a contact number/email address.
Our hope that this event, which is happening alongside the initial building works, plus a future event when the new build is further along, will give everyone the opportunity to catch up with past school friends and have a reminisce, whilst at the same time assist in some fundraising.
