Industrial Action

As you are aware, there are a series of teacher strike dates over the coming weeks.  On this page you will find the AGS response to each day of strike action.

Key information from the letter from Ms Sargent to parents/carers on 26 June 2023:

 

On Wednesday 5 July, students in all year groups except Years 8 and 9 should attend school in person as usual. Unless a student is in Year 8 or 9, full attendance in school is expected on this day. Students should bring all books for the day as usual although it is probable that for some lessons, students will be engaged in an alternative activity.

 

On Friday 7 July, students in all year groups except Years 7 and 10 should attend school in person as usual. Unless a student is in Year 7 or 10, full attendance in school is expected on this day. Students should bring all books for the day as usual although it is probable that for some lessons, students will be engaged in an alternative activity.

 

Students in Year 12 must bring plenty of revision materials with them, as when not in normal lessons they will have time to revise material from this academic year.

"On Wednesday 15 March, students in all year groups except Year 7 and 9 should attend school in person as usual. Unless a student is in Year 7 or 9, full attendance in school is expected on this day. Students should bring all books for the day as usual although it is probable that for some lessons, students will be engaged in an alternative activity.

 

On Thursday 16 March, students in all year groups except Year 8 should attend school in person as usual. Unless a student is in Year 8, full attendance in school is expected on this day. Students should bring all books for the day as usual although it is probable that for some lessons, students will be engaged in an alternative activity.

 

Students in Years 11-13 must bring plenty of revision materials with them, as when not in normal lessons they will have time to revise for their forthcoming examinations.

 

Year 10 students are on work experience in this week. Any Year 10 students whose work experience is based in school should attend as normal."
